Glasko began in September of 2006, when Eric Michaels (vocals, piano, and guitar) began recording several songs he wrote in his basement. The demo received a surprising amount of interest, peaking at an offer from producer Justin Mannhardt of McNally/Smith Studios in St. Paul, Minnesota. The offer: one full-length album for free. There, Eric enlisted Matt Kordenowy (bass), Mike Scheiman (lead guitar), and Andrew Sabo (drums), to finish the 11 song album, “Autumn”. The recording went so well, the quartet decided to remain together, and are currently performing in and around Chicago. Although influenced by a vast array of talent ranging from newer-Damien Rice, Coldplay, Radiohead, to heavier grooves of such bands as Tool, Murder By Death, and David Bowie, you can’t successfully pigeonhole the sound that emanates from the stage at a Glasko show. The new album, “unc”, is set to be released mid-March.
